Scope matters more than the service name
A brochure website, an application with several user roles and an internal infrastructure require different amounts of work. Interfaces, workflow complexity, available accounts and the environments to examine affect the effort. A price without a described scope is difficult to compare.
Ask what the proposal includes
Clarify preparation, testing, analysis of findings, reporting and the review meeting. Check whether travel or work outside normal hours is needed. Verification of fixes should be explicit: included, optional or priced later. Two offers with different assumptions may appear similar while covering very different work.
Prepare a useful estimate
Provide an environment description, your objective, application roles and timing constraints. Separate what must be tested now from what can wait. A proposal should connect the budget to explicit assumptions, boundaries and deliverables. This page does not publish a TMC-DEFENSE price range.
